About BKMS
BKMS was started in 2005 by Sh. Gurwinder Singh after experiencing disability first-hand. He noticed the lack of support for disabled and mentally destitute people and the discrimination faced by them. Initially, BKMS provided medical supplies and food to disabled people in hospitals and shelters. In a short span of 15 years, it has grown into a prominent welfare institution in Sirsa that serves hundreds of people through its three Ashrams by providing them with holistic care and runs free ambulance services for people in remote regions surrounding the city.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Developing short-term and long-term fundraising strategy for BKMS.
• Researching national and international grant opportunities.
• Writing and submitting grant proposals.
• Reaching out to companies for CSR partnerships.
• Developing CSR proposals.
• Designing fundraising material.
• Planning online fundraisers.
• Maintaining relationships with corporate donors.
• Ad-hoc duties.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Previous experience in fundraising/strategy role is an asset.
• Empathy and passion towards disability rights.
Working conditions:
• Candidates can work remotely or in-person depending on their preference.
• If successful candidate is outside Sirsa region, then they will be brought in for a 3-5 day tour to get a solid understanding of the organization.
Renumeration:
• Successful candidate will be hired for a two-three months probationary period with compensation ranging between Rs. 15,000 – Rs. 20,000.
• Upon full time hiring, candidates can be expected to pay Rs. 30,000 + along with performance bonuses.
