Roles and responsibilities:
Leading the admissions office in the end-to-end execution of the admissions process
including:
● Providing overall leadership to the admissions function at the university,
● Working collaboratively with the outreach and communications team,
● Guiding prospective applicants through the admissions process,
● Organizing admissions datasets and providing regular analytics support to the team,
● Reviewing application files,
● Handling applicant queries,
● Providing logistical support for immersion days,
● Communicating final decisions, and
● Organizing retention activities to ensure offered applicants enroll in the program
Competencies required:
● Leadership and team building qualities
● Proficiency and comfort with data to organize and analyze large datasets
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Collaborative mindset
● Ability to work in a start-up like environment that requires proactive and creative problem-solving
● Interest in public policy and prior experience with outreach and admissions in a higher education institute are preferred
