The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. Project Brief:
Deliverables:
Liaise with NACO in issuing necessary communications to provide support to the Project activities along with the Project Director
Work closely with NACO for effective coordination, monitoring and implementation of capacity building, community system strengthening and DISHA system strengthening.
Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Project activities.
Provide technical inputs and guidance to the project team.
Keep close track of the budget utilization and prepare appropriate plans.
Prepare budget forecasts, and utilization reports and support the audit team for financial evaluation.
Conduct research, data analysis, and interpretation to inform decision-making processes
Day to day Project Management, coordination, project inception, team management and mentoring of key and non-key experts.
Ensure Timely submission of reports and deliverables.
Attend and conduct Workshops, and meetings.
Periodic update on progress.
Monitoring visits to field sites.
Provide advice, guidance, and final review of deliverables.
Apply knowledge and experience from similar assignments undertaken earlier and lead the process of developing the project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with the team.
Keep abreast of latest developments, research, and technologies relevant to public health.
Establish robust mechanisms for identification and reporting of discrepancies.
Provide qualitative and quantitative inputs to support NACO in ensuring timely achievement of targets.
Coordinate with stakeholders, partners, and funders to ensure project goals are met effectively and efficiently.
Identify potential risks and mitigating factors and provide recommendations for areas for improvement in implementation aspects as well as M&E efforts in consultation with local resource institutions.
Develop work plan and project implementation activities.
Preparation of Technical Reports, Detailed Work Plans, Donor Reports.
Support for Documentation is required.
Travel as required.
Any other work assigned by the Project Director and VP- Public Health Systems Support.
Qualification:
Essential:
Master’s degree in social sciences/public health/management or related field.
Experience:
Essential:
At least 10-15 years of experience with donor funded projects.
Proven track record of professional, timely and high-quality consultancy assignments in the field of health sector.
Demonstrated outstanding leadership, strategic thinking, organizational, team management and representational skills.
Experience of working with NACO/ MOHFW/at National level /with state-level with Department of Health and Family Welfare.
Prior Experience of working with HIV/AIDS/GFATM projects will be an added advantage.
Experience in Budgeting, Work Plan Preparation, Technical and Administrative Activities.
Experience in documentation of GFATM funded projects will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated strong management and ability to function effectively with multiple counterparts.
Desirable:
Excellent understanding of HIV/AIDS, Health Systems, and development issues.
Good knowledge of national, state and district level government administrative structures, processes, and Community engagement.
Sound understanding of right based approaches to healthcare issues.
Experience in designing strategies on health sector issues.
Experience in usage of computers and office software packages.
Excellent spoken and written English and Hindi skills.
Preference will be given if the candidate has been working in the field of HIV/AIDS and prior experience of working with GFATM projects.
