Job Summary:

The incumbent is based in Bangalore/Mysore/Delhi office of GRAAM and is responsible to independently develop research proposals, carry out research, monitoring, evaluation and advocacy activities, broadly in the areas related to social science research/evaluation studies. The incumbent is also expected involve in coordinating field activities through Associates to monitor field studies using quantitative and qualitative field methods.

Key Areas of Involvement:

• Independent writing of grant proposals
• Overall handling of key tasks pertaining to study design and planning, data collection, data analysis and report writing in research studies
• Play a key role in developing Questionnaires and other tools to collect quantitative and qualitative data.
• Undertake and oversee data collection using different research tools, editing of raw data, transferring the data to relevant statistical packages, generating tables and graphs
• Undertake literature reviews
• Responsible for training the field surveyors as per the requirement on conducting research at the field level.
• Analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data, presentation of the data to different groups
• Search, collate , organize and make accessible in searchable form secondary databases in different thematic areas.
• Draft advocacy outputs like factsheets, executive notes and policy briefs
• To coordinate with other divisions of the organization in carrying out designated activities 

Desired Qualification:

Education: 

Ph.D. in Public Health/Economics/Education/ Sociology/social work/ Public Administration/Anthropology/Public Policy or related disciplines

We are looking to hire 3 candidates from above disciplines

Experience: 

Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in handling complete research / program evaluation cycle, handling national-level studies, ability to analyse data (quant and/or qual) independently, develop high-quality reports

Knowledge of multi languages is a big plus
