JOB PROFILE
The Program Director’s role is seen as a two-pronged responsibility:
1. As CFAD’s Fellowship director, the role will be a single point of contact between the fellow designates, program area managers, government line departments, the founders and donors. The director is expected to implement the CFAD principles by designing and leading the activities of the fellowship, including designing the framework, setting timelines, onboarding fellows, fellow handholding and capacity building etc.,
2. As CFAD’s partnerships and fundraising manager, design and own impactful engagements including but not limited to volunteering, leadership participation, and field visits by partners and donors. The role will also entail working closely with the Founders, program heads and fellows to identify mission-aligned donors and independently lead front-end conversations towards raising funds for the organization.
The position reports directly to the Founders of the Organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
● leads the design and execution of the fellowship program
● engage key stakeholders in designing programs and strategies to maximise impact and reach through the network of district-level fellows.
● identify key metrics of each project and program area and monitor progress on these on a regular basis.
● maintain and utilize a working knowledge of significant developments, trends, and best practices in the field of rural development.
● Create systems and protocols through proper debriefs & evaluation to ensure that lessons learnt from the field are applied through best practices, templates etc.
● be responsible for fundraising from corporates, HNIs, government schemes etc., to support the work of the organization across all program areas.
● work closely with the founders to identify mission-aligned donors and independently lead conversations towards raising funds for the organization.
● work with the program teams to ensure optimum utilization of funds across programs.
SKILLS
● 3 to 5 years of work experience with the ability to manage large teams.
● working knowledge of fundraising particularly for non-profit organizations.
● a university degree in a relevant field (Bachelors or Master’s Degree in development studies, rural development, social work)
● the ability to thrive in a target focused environment and is highly self-motivated and results orientated.
● strong influencing skills, people engagement, networking, and listening skills
● proficiency in MS Office Tools, particularly excel or equivalent
● the ability to work with and influence a wide range of stakeholders ranging from donors, research agencies, to academia
● strong written and verbal communication skills particularly in the English language.
