Position: Operations Lead
Organization: Project Mumbai
Location: Mumbai
Roles and responsibilities:
- Assist in the conception of program, support training contents, ensure delivery through the field program team, support the overseeing of the delivery of programs in the intervention areas.
- Lead implementation of key initiatives including Mumbai’s Mapping, Environment, and Maitri which involves coordinating with senior citizen volunteering projects with partners
- Build a large-scale community (50k+ members) of potential volunteers on the Project Mumbai Hub
- Coordinate and manage relationships between different stakeholder groups
- Prepare and monitor the program schedules and time frame for project activities and implementation.
- Undertake regular (/daily, weekly and monthly) tracking of the projects
- Assist in building new ideas and initiatives aimed at large-scale citizen volunteering in Mumbai
- Manage a core group of volunteers driving other initiatives in the organization

Qualities required:

- Strong interpersonal skills to engage all the stakeholders
- Ability to manage and implement programs and “get results” even without direct control over them
- Fluent English, Marathi, and Hindi communication (written & spoken)
- Good with using the Internet- doing online research, compiling & putting things together, Google Docs, Social Media, etc.
- Reliable & Dependable- punctual, good at meeting deadlines, and self-driven.
- Minimum commitment of 2 years to the role.
- At least 3-5 years of prior work experience, preferably in project management and operational roles.
- Must be available to join on or before December 1,2021
Other information:
- We work six days a week but enjoy the work that we do. We are located in Mumbai’s Andheri but, office need not tie you down.
- Compensation will be higher than NGO standards but significantly lower than corporate salaries. It will afford a reasonable standard of living and is linked to the candidate’s qualifications and work experience.
