Position: Faculty – Social and Behavioral science

Organization: IIPH Shillong

Location: Meghalaya

Deliverables:

• Teaching Public Health, especially pertaining to social and behavioral science related topics

• Undertake teaching for on-campus and eLearning programs.

• Assess and monitor student performance across modules for on-campus and eLearning programs.

• Mentor students and guide student dissertations and internship activities.

• Design teaching-learning material to support student learning.

• Lead and participate in short term trainings.

• Participate and contribute in research activities

• Mentoring students in course work including their research project

• Conduct need based trainings on various public health topics

• Take up relevant research, develop research proposals and lead grants

• Advocacy with related stakeholders

• Partnership and collaboration with various organizations

• Should publish in peer-reviewed journals

• Should work closely with Government, be able to liaise with Government and multiple stakeholders, whenever required

• Development of Educational Material and other academic support activities

• Any other tasks as and activities as and when required by the institute

Qualification:

Essential

• Ph. D in Social sciences/Public health/with relevant experience/medical anthropology/ related field of Social Sciences and public health

• Equivalent degrees with relevant experience

Desirable

• Lead large grants, have funded projects, teaching experience and curriculum development

Experience:

Essential

• Relevant research experience in public health and mentorship

• 3- 5 years of teaching experience post PhD

Desirable

• Expertise in using statistical software and or qualitative software will be an advantage
