1 Male for Rajasthan (Jaipur)

Scope of Work:

• Attend training/ orientation on the study, tools, and tasks & provide support as needed
• Conduct MGDs with target groups
• Conduct In-Depth Interviews (IDIs) with with a cohort of young persons/ local champions

1. Take written consent from respondents for the interactions and record all interactions (where respondents provide consent for recording).
2. Ensure complete recordings and consent forms are submitted to the DS team.
3. Ensure notes in English, in the prescribed formats are submitted to the DS team

Time period of engagement:

• This is an estimate of number of days; the Qualitative Researcher would be expected to maintain a work-log, as per format shared and would be remunerated based on actual number of days of effort, as per agreed rates.

• Any cost of travel for meetings with experts would be additionally reimbursed based on actual costs. The Qualitative Researcher would be expected to adhere to the travel norms, as per DS travel policy.

Deliverables:

• Audio recording files for each of the interactions

• Key notes/ points from each interaction – documented in a format shared by Development Solutions

Required qualification and experience:

• Post-graduate or higher in social sciences, development studies, gender studies, or any other relevant discipline.

• Experience of having undertaken qualitative data collection (2-3 years).

• Experience of having worked with young persons (13-18 year old persons).

• Experience of having worked on issues of air quality, sexual and reproductive health, and/or girls’ empowerment and education, would be preferred.

• Fluency in colloquial English and Hindi, (and Marathi for Pune).
