ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with Head Strategy in setting up the CARE India’s Design center in collaboration with IIIT-Hyderabad at Rama Reddy Centre for Social Good
• Identify top projects to be undertaken under Design Centre in close collaboration with CARE’s program team
• Co-ordinate and partner with Startups, to identify products, make it fit for larger impact which are affordable and has a potential to scale
• Responsible for anchoring and accelerating the agenda of the Design Centre
• Develop strategic operational plan with the Center stakeholders and move digital innovations to execution
• Oversee daily operations and set a leadership presence in the center
• Establish collaborative models for incubating and scaling program innovations
• Sift and analyse data from multiple angles, looking for trends that highlight problems or opportunities
• Make recommendations to adapt existing program strategies
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Post-Graduate (Preferably with Engineering background) with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience including both contributing to and managing teams (Applicant with exposure to Development sector experience would be preferred)
• Strong acumen in following areas, along with depth at least two: technology, innovation, incubation, startups, product development, stakeholder management
• Demonstrate skills in scoping problems, driving design thinking hackathons, incubating and supporting promising design innovations and scaling them
• Proven expertise in building successful startup teams and learning from failure, as an entrepreneur, investor and/or advisor. Former founders preferred.
• Being seen as a leader within the Indian startup ecosystem will be an advantage

• Ability to meet hard timelines while working on different assignments simultaneously
• A team player following model codes of conduct and behaviour ensuring gender and rights-based approaches at the workplace
