Position: Urban Water and Sanitation Specialists

Location: Mumbai

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Supporting states and cities in the implementation of national programs/missions related to water and sanitation.
• Building capacities of government officials and other stakeholders in planning and monitoring of water and sanitation programs, and services.
• Implementing of sustainable and inclusive water and sanitation solutions in cities.
• Exploring innovative financing for investments in urban water and sanitation.
• Support relationships with various stakeholders including relevant national, state government and city officials.

Attributes:

• A post-graduate degree in Engineering and/or Urban Planning from a reputed university.
• At least 8 years of experience working on research/consultancy/project assignments on urban water and sanitation/urban development projects.
• Prior experience of working with government agencies, multilateral organizations or NGOs is preferred.
• Familiarity with the urban water and sanitation research and capacity building ecosystem in India is an added advantage.
• Candidates with the ability to communicate in Marathi will have a preference.
