Position: Consultant Program Associate

Key roles and Responsibilities of the Consultant Program Associate:

• Facilitating the implementation of project activities as planned in the Report on Key Findings from the Design and Prototyping phase.
• Facilitating the collection, entry, processing and analysis of project monitoring data and preparing a fortnightly report for the Project Lead.
• Traveling to project areas to gather and document learning stories, case studies, anecdotal evidence and other interesting information to feed into the project-end dissemination report.  
• Assisting the Executive Producer from SBCC team to develop a script or a story outline for a video film to succinctly capture the project’s journey and impact.
• Working with the project team to gather qualitative data and information by conducting InDepth Interviews, Expert Interviews, Focus Group Discussions, and Observational Studies with different stakeholders during the end line survey. 
• Contributing to and providing inputs into the project-end Impact Evaluation Report.
• Assisting the Project Lead in coordinating mid-term and progress review reports, and summaries of meetings with various stakeholders from time to time.
• Other tasks delegated by Director SBCC and ME Project Lead from time to time

Qualifications and Competencies:

We are looking for a bright and energetic Consultant to join the team. Candidates with innovative and analytical thinking who enjoy working with communities on health and social development related issues are invited to apply.

Specifically, we are looking for candidates with following qualifications and experience:  

• The ideal candidate will have at least a graduate degree in any subject. A postgraduate or higher degree from a recognized university or institution is desirable but not essential.
• Prior experience for this position is not essential but desirable. Candidate with prior experience
• as Project Intern or Project Associate will be given a preference.
• Preference will be given to candidates located in Bihar as the position involves frequent travel to the project areas in Bihar.
• Familiarity with principles of human centered design, behavioral sciences and other innovative methods will be an added qualification.
• Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written) in Hindi and English are necessary for this position, and familiarity with local dialects such as Bhojpuri, Magahi or Maithili will be an added advantage. 
• Knowledge of Research and Monitoring methods is desirable, and ability to prepare regular progress and monitoring reports will be an added advantage.
• Interest in photo-documentation, creative writing and audio-visual media will be an added advantage as there will be opportunities to provide inputs for development of a video film.
