Position: Communications Officer 

Organization: Safe in India Foundation

Location: Gurgaon

Job Role:

The Communications Officer role, reporting to the Co-Founder & CEO, and member of SII’s Senior Management Team (SMT), will strategize and execute SII’s communication strategy for its social media platforms: 

Hindi Facebook, English Facebook, YouTube Channel, Twitter, and, for its face-to-face interactions with workers through its Worker Assistance Centers.

Required skillsets:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi.

  • Good writing and editing skills and attention to detail are a must and quality. Minimum words-Maximum impact.

  • Experience in Graphic designing is a must. Good knowledge of software such as Corel draw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign is required. A good technical understanding of online software such as Canva is desirable.

  • Excellent knowledge of social media best practices is a must and desire/energy to use it to influence Hindi and English-speaking audiences.

  • Good editing, design, videography, and photography skills.

  • Working knowledge of online or offline video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After effect, Biteable.

  • Willingness to support and engage with the health and safety-related issues of the work with injured factory workers, most of whom are migrants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand SII’s brand positioning among its stakeholders – workers, government, auto-sector brands, and supporters, and continue developing SII’s strategy to engage with them, impactfully, to deliver SII’s worker-centric goals.

  • Generate high-quality graphic designing creatives like infographics and other types of Social Media posts for Hindi and English audiences.

  • Write captions, calls of action, and copies for social media creatives, and scripts for short videos.

  • Rewrite-edit case studies, beneficiary stories for blog, social media, and reports.

  • Handle social media platforms of Safe in India  including creating and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification

  • Engage with local & celebrity influencers, media, and other important stakeholders for the promotion of the cause.

  • Support creative excellence through assisting vendors in website management, video creation, producing high-quality photographs for reports.

  • In accordance with the program team, prepares Reports, leaflets, brochures, and other publicity materials.

  • Curate and manage videos and photographs.

Remuneration:
