Duration: The position will be hired on an annual basis with renewal depending on continued funding
and satisfactory performance.
Job Description
Contribute towards the adaptation of the Sangath’s Leadership in Mental Health (LMH) course
for the local setting and context in Madhya Pradesh as per the project proposal.
Assist the coordinator in arrangements towards the LMH course which aims to build the
capacity of program managers, health facility level staff at both the state level in Bhopal and
three selected districts (Raisen, Vidisha and Hoshangabad).
Participate in regular project meetings and documentation activities as per the proposed project
scope.
Identify and compile lists of potential ASHA workers in accordance with study objectives and
parameters, as appropriate.
Assist in contacting the ASHA workers to introduce and explain study objectives and protocol,
arrange interviews.
Travel to field sites to collect data, conduct evaluation and feedback survey of the training
participants.
Provide orientation to ASHA workers on the Sangath’s Learning Management System (LMS)
under the supervision of District Coordinator
Assist in on boarding the digital tool on the smartphones of ASHA workers for online or off-line
viewing.
Monitor ASHA workers progress on the LMS
Assist in developing qualitative interview guide, participant logs, attendance sheets etc.
Providing support to projects implementation, guaranteeing quality, efficiency and
effectiveness.
Assist and participate in other Sangath activities.
Execute any other relevant duties assigned by the PI, Co-I and PD.
Working Days: Monday to Friday (9:30 am to 5:30 pm)
Reporting: Project Director, Project PI and Co-Investigator
Joining: Immediate
Essential Candidate requirements
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Public Health; Social Work; Psychology or related fields/discipline
• Willingness to be based in Bhopal and travel to in community settings for field work in rural or
semi-rural areas
• Fluency in Hindi and English
• Prior experience of working in a similar role for a minimum of 1-2 years
• Good computing (MS Office), organisational and communication skills
• Commitment of a minimum of 1 year.
Desirable criteria
Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work on tight deadlines.
Salary range: 25000 -30000
