Key Qualifications & experience

● Post-graduate qualification in Rural Development, Agriculture or related disciplines;

● A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the field of livelihoods. Three-years mid-level experience with milk/wool production systems is desirable.

● A sound understanding of the dairy industry, of institutions/departments that facilitate livelihoods and of the financial ecosystem related to support towards public investments;

● Significant experience in business plan preparation, preparation of funding proposals, market mainstreaming preferably for producer organizations.

● Excellent communication skills including written and verbal skills in English; Key responsibilities

● Coordinate and lead the work plan on livelihoods.

● Provide strategic inputs on interventions, networking and also liaison with government and private sector;

● Enterprise establishment support to first generation entrepreneurs;

● Seek and provide support to partner organizations;

● Monitor timely implementation of phase wise activities; outputs and outcomes

● Document, report, keep records and prepare funding proposals (national and international agencies).
