Role Requirements:

● A passion for communications for impact

● Knowledge of latest practices, trends, and tools inthe communications world, including social media,

digital communications and web publishing and content management

● Ability to network and work with a diversity of individualsboth internally and externally

● Skills in design and production (multimedia)

● Strong copywriting and presentation skills with precise attention to detail

● Knowledge of and experience in the development/policy sector and a keen interest in

socio-economic and political developmental and policy concerns is desiable

● Relevant work experience of 2-4 years

● A degree in communications/design

What you will do:

● Support the development of organisational digital communications strategy and execution

○ Design high quality communication collaterals to promote Trayas’ work

○ Lead production of organisational mouthpiece (TrayasSoapbox)

○ Develop social media content and lead promotions across chosen platforms

○ Manage the organisational website content, publishing, and SEO

○ Coordinate with and lead engagements with service providers (creative agencies, editors,

videographers etc.)

○ Measure the impact of and strengthen communicationsstrategy (analytics)

● Support outreach efforts and strengthen organisational visibility nationally and internationally
○ Identify external platforms and networking opportunities (conceferences, seminars, research
symposia, publications, networks) and facilitate engagement
○ Identify new and traditional media platforms for promoting Trayas’ work and facilitate
engagement
○ Identify potential partners (funding and programmatic) and support engagement

● Support organisation strategy, marketing efforts and communications systems and processes
including
○ Co-develop larger communication campaigns on specific themes and/or to further the
organisation’s strategic objectives
○ Maintain communications operations tools and processes including analytics, content
trackers, databases and files and systems to support organisational communications.
