Responsibilities
• Plan and manage the project, ensure its progress for achievement of its vision, objectives and results.
• Design, institutional set up and establishment of a sustainable model of the Green Urban Mobility Living Lab, its value proposition, services and revenue streams as well as the development of its core operations, processes and standard operating procedures. It also includes the design and set up of its governance structure and corporate engagement model.
• Head the Project Secretariat from GIZ side and steer the project together with a lead appointed from the corporate partner.
• Quality management, documentation and dissemination tasks
• Disciplinary and supervisory functions for the allotted project staff
• Application of specialist expertise for performing advisory functions
Management Responsibility
• Is responsible for the orders and measures in the project that are assigned to him/her and for managing all staff members who report to him/her. • Manages staff in accordance with management principles and guidelines to promote a sense of corporate identity, enable employees to carry out tasks independently and create scope for developing creativity and innovation.
• Is responsible for recruiting, selecting, grading, planning the assignment of and professional development of staff members who report to him/her. • is also responsible for monitoring, managing staff and ensuring that they provide costeffective services.
• Carries out the annual staff assessment and development talk for staff members who report to him/her
Project Management and Technical Advisory
• Project planning and management of the Green Urban Mobility Innovation project to achieve the project objectives and indicators, including planning, budgeting and monitoring of activities.
• Technical implementation of the project, achieving indicators as defined and showcasing of results and outcomes in line with the project mandates. • Lead the design and development of the Living Lab, including its value proposition, key services and revenue streams, operating and business model.
• Lead the Secretariat from GIZ-side together with a representative from the private sector and jointly be accountable project management & review of progress.
• Application of GIZ project management tools for effective and efficient management of the projects.
• Contract management – development tender documents, contract management, facilitation etc.
• Undertaking capacity building measures
Application of specialist expertise
• Technical, conceptual and methodological advice to the project partners with a solutionoriented approach.
• Quality management – ensure quality of the outputs/deliverables, ensuring efficiency – costs, time and results.
Networking and Stakeholder Management
• Coordination and communication with partners and stakeholders of the projects, including those at the national level as well as in the selected cities and project areas.
• Onboarding of other corporate partners and industry players in the Living Lab model and define an engagement model and governance structure Documentation and Dissemination
• Documentation, dissemination – development of communication material, success stories, publications etc. and their dissemination.
• Ensure regular project updates on websites of GIZ and partners, and social media pages of GIZ.
• Preparation of progress reports, documentation, dissemination, ensuring usage of outputs/deliverables by partners.
Other duties/ tasks
• Assist the AV E-Mobility and the Project Director of the project.
• Support in representing GIZ and the management decisions within and outside GIZ.
• Assistance in representation of the assigned project to the outside.
• Coordination with the leading bilateral project” Promoting the transformation to sustainable and climate-friendly electromobility in India”
Other duties/ tasks

Required qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• 1st class post-graduate degree in engineering, economics, business administration and management, or systems / operations research, or related fields from a recognised university or institution.
• PhD in sciences or environment or related fields from a recognised university or institution will be an added advantage.
• Professional qualifications in areas relevant to the project such as innovation management, systems thinking, design thinking, etc. preferable.
• At least 12 - 15 years of proven practical experience relevant to the project.
• Prior experience in transport and mobility sector is preferable, e.g. transport and mobility innovations; green mobility; urban mobility.
• Leadership experience in managing complex projects/programmes and managing teams.
Duration of the contract: Until 31st July 2024
