Position: Project Assistant

Job Location:

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India (The selected candidate will need to travel to Delhi and
Manipal for collaborative activities)

Requirement/Eligibility:

 Essential
o Undergraduate education in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry
OR
Undergraduate education in Psychology, Social Work or any health or social science
related subjects AND masters level education in public health, clinical psychology,
population sciences, social work or health or development related areas

o 1 year experience conducting health or development-related projects
o Language fluency in English and Hindi (spoken/written)
o Willingness to be located in Bhopal

Desirable:

o Undergraduate education in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry with Masters in Public
Health or related subject
o 2 years’ experience conducting health related advocacy and project management
o Experience working with transgender persons
o Self-identifies as a transgender person or in the LGBTQI+ community

Deliverables:
 Participate in regular project related meetings, create and share agenda and meeting notes
 Assist in the development of project protocol, tools and guides
 Work along with the Project Coordinator in planning and conducting all project related
activites
 Support the logistic activities for participant recruitment, follow up and data collection
 Assist in facilitating participatory workshops
 Create detailed notes on the workshops to create draft competencies
 Engage with a wide group of stakeholders including transgender community members for
review of the competencies
 Assist in the planning and conduct of a national-level conference
 Maintain regular communication with collaborators
 Assist in dissemination of project findings through the national conference and through the
development of an advocacy toolkit
 Assist and participate in other Sangath activities
 Execute other project related duties assigned by the investigators
 Candidate must be proactive, highly motivated, a self-starter and have a learning mindset

Remuneration and contractual duration

Salary Range: 20500 – 32000 per month
Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and as per
applicable SANGATH Policy within the range. The initial appointment will be made for three months
from the date of joining, with renewal up to one year based on a performance review. The appoint
may be extended further subject to availability of funding. The candidate will be required to relocate
to Bhopal.
