Position: Officer- Public Engagement

Key Responsibilities
Researching for potential Corporates, Trusts/Foundations both national and international and creating a database. Create a robust pipeline to be pursued for fundraising and continue on building it
Identifying the right point of contact and approaching the prospects through cold calls/emails
Follow up with prospects for setting up meetings and taking it forward to the proposal submission stage. Also, regular follow ups post proposal submission.
Support in finalizing proposals and concept notes.
Devise and present innovative fundraising ideas of mutual benefit to a corporate and Sense India.
Proactively prospect ‘Charity-of-the-Year’ opportunities, Pro-Bono work and employee engagement opportunities
Attend networking events to develop new relationships
Develop opportunities for corporate sponsorship, corporate membership schemes, payroll-giving, employee fundraising and other forms of corporate engagement
Review the quality of all corporate led events within the parameters of responsible financial management and positive PR and media coverage
Ensure volunteers are used as often as possible to support and expand corporate engagement activities
Ensure all corporate supporters receive relevant and timely communication resulting in the development of long-term relationships
Produce monthly reports that outline progress and achievements within the period including number of Corporate approached, meetings set etc.
Keep informed on market trends and developments in the corporate sector
Ensure that, via corporate relations, all opportunities are maximized to generate awareness and understanding of the work that we do.
Represent Sense India to corporate audiences and at corporate events
Essential
Graduation and above in any discipline. For example, MBA marketing/customer relations
At least 1-3 year of related experience. '
Experience of developing a continuing programme of research and development that will identify new engagement opportunities and market competitors
An understanding of the corporate sector and CSR responsibilities
A highly motivated individual who is able to work well on their own initiative, as well as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels
Excellent time management and organsational skills
Interpersonal skills – able to interact with wide variety of personnel to achieve positive outcomes and establish sustainable relationships & partnerships
IT self-sufficient - knowledge of Microsoft Office packages:
Work closely with the relevant staff across Sense India and to ensure effective co-operation and collaboration
Ability to plan and prioritize own workload and work without close supervision.
Desirable
Experience/familiarity with Databases
Knowledge of or empathy with the work for people with disabilities/ deafblindness
