Position: Community Mobilizer

Location: Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation

Key Responsibilities

 Conducting mobilization in selected pockets of MBMC with the select target group (mothers whose children are in the age group of 3-6 years and who are not working or have left job to look after their children).

 Conducting rapid assessment to understand the interests of the target group.

 Encouraging women to take up courses of their interest and sharing information of the courses being offered

 Sharing details of the program- how their children will be looked after by after care in charges, who will be in touch with the care givers.

 Addressing all concerns that the women and their families have regarding child care, skills and jobs.

 Enrolling women in various courses based on their areas of interest.

 Continuous engagement with women even after being enrolled to encourage them to stay in the program, complete course and take up jobs.

 Identify and respond to risks that would lead women to drop out from the program.

 Collecting mobilization data and sharing with the manager on a regular basis.

Skills and Qualities

 Ability to effectively communicate and share about the project with the target group.

 Skills to effectively enroll women in various courses.

 Planning mobilization drives.

 Ability to do mobilization via data calling as well.

 Working with the family as a whole.

 Data collection and data entry.

 Comfortable in using MS Word, Excel.

 Comfortable in using technology and operating emails for communication and data sharing.

Expectations

 12th passed onwards are eligible for the role. Graduates preferred.

 Minimum 2 years of experience of working as a mobilizer in any community.

 Target oriented

 Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English and Hindi/Marathi.

 Person needs to be self-initiator.

 Ability to persistently work with the stakeholders through the Pandemic.
