Position: Deputy Coordinator
Organization: NLR India
Key roles and responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the day to day functioning of ILEP India
2. Coordinate with all the ILEP India members and ILEP International as and when needed
3. Coordinate with government, WHO, Association of Persons Affected by Leprosy (APAL), Indian Medical Association (IMA), Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venere ologist and Leprologists (IADVL) and other stakeholders
4. Coordinate with the National Leprosy Eradication Program (NLEP) consultants
5. Review and summarize reports of the NLEP consultants
6. Assess capacity building (CB) needs of NLEP consultants
7. Plan and organize CB of the NLEP consultants
8. Assist the Coordinator in developing annual/multi-year workplan
9. Draft and implement the annual workplan in coordination with ILEP members
10. Lead development of ILEP India website and maintain it through an agency/consultant; draft content for it, publish it after finalization
11. Lead in drafting and publishing the quarterly ILEP India e-newsletter
12. Keep track of member budgetary contribution and do need-based follow-up
13. Plan and organize meetings of ILEP India with members and other stakeholders
14. Draft periodic reports of ILEP India
15. Draft minutes of meeting and share as applicable
16. Maintain files and documentation related to ILEP work
17. Any other task assigned by the Coordinator
Values and Ethics:
The candidate should have high level of integrity, accountability, and punctuality and be willing to work beyond normal working hours and willing to travel to remote parts of project areas. S/he should also demonstrate and be exemplary in portraying NLRIF values and ethics. The candidate should be a good team player.
Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Public Health/ Social Sciences/ Communication/ English and related subjects.
Experience and skills:
• At least 5 years’ experience in coordination activities with different stakeholders
• Excellent documentation skills with track record of publications
• Experience of working on public health issues preferably neglected tropical diseases
• Good verbal and written communication skills including good command of English and one Indian language e.g. Hindi
• Good analytical skills
• Computer skills: Proficiency in Internet, web-based operations, MS Office and related applications
• Good team player
Remuneration:
Compensation will be based on experience and qualification. On travel days, (S)he will be entitled for re-imbursement of hotel accommodation, plus per diem as per the organization policy.
