Role of Research & Political Partnerships Senior. Associate:

• As we build the organisation we constantly learn and evolve our understanding of the challenges and opportunities as well as the several pathways Indian politics holds. Our research vertical leads the learning and development, brings insights and helps guide the strategic approach of our curriculum and design.
• You will be a valuable member bringing insights, building research and literature that ISD uses internally and externally.
• ISD believes that there are seeds of political leadership in different people and it is our responsibility to find and nurture them.
• Each of our programs places a big emphasis on selecting the right kinds of people for our program and ensure that we build a holistic understanding of each of these people.
• In your role as Research + Political Partnerships Sr Associate, you will work on:

Research:
● Primary and Secondary research
● Professional drafting and writing skills
● Small focus group discussions with several target groups
● Resource and knowledge management
Political Partnerships:
● Curate contacts of political players from multiple parties at village, city and state level
● Leverage networks to build a strong relationship with them

● ‘Coordinate with regional political mentors of ISD who will assist participants of
programs

Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor’s degree in political science, policy or a relevant field
● 4-5 years of full-time professional experience; preferably in
research/operations/management and politics
● Proficiency in handling a technology, Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint and Mail Merge
● Experience of working with ground level political workers and decision makers in
political campaigns or other work
● Experience in developing high level academic written content
● Experience in primary/secondary research skills
● Great communication skills in English & Hindi, one more Indian language will be an
added benefit
● Attention to detail, process oriented and can manage to work in uncertainty
● Conscientious, disciplined, committed to rigor in all aspects of work and professional
● Entrepreneurial, frugal with the ability to give and receive feedback
● Ability and willingness to work with people from across the political spectrum
Location: Based in New Delhi
Compensation: Remuneration will be based on competency and we will be building ISD
together. Salary range for this role will be 5-6 lakhs per annum to begin with. We are hoping you
grow with the organization, and we will revise salaries as we grow.
