Brief on the Organization:
Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare. Project Brief: Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) received a grant from Nayara Energy, for Tushti project: Towards a Kuposhan Mukta Dwarka. The purpose of the project is to improve the nutritional status of adolescents, pregnant women and children under 5 years of age (with special focus on those who are moderate and severely underweight) with a specific focus on children under 2 years of age in four blocks of Dwarka district and technology support solutions for health and wellness centre.
Deliverables:
• Facilitate implementation of all health and nutrition related activities in the project.
• Support and supervise timely implementation of all project activities in the district
• Make regular monitoring and supportive supervision visits within the district to provide on-site support to health and ICDS team to ensure all project activities are completed as per schedule
• Coordinate with the related line departments at the district level for facilitating convergent/ multi-sectoral activities under the project
• Provide technical leadership and facilitate designing of health and nutrition related activities and pilots to be implemented in the project
• Provide necessary assistance to ensure that plans are implemented in project districts in a timely manner to achieve the agreed milestones of the Disbursement Linked Indicators
• Facilitate the dissemination of relevant guidelines, reporting formats and documents relevant to the project
• Monitoring of the Program at the State & Block Level
• Compilation of statistical review and evaluation of the program
• Undertake other relevant duties assigned by PI
Qualification:
Essential:
Medical & Homeopathy –MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS / Postgraduate in Public Health / MPH / PG diploma and Social Sciences or allied discipline. Desirable: Experience: Essential: Minimum three (03) years experience of working with Government/ Government organizations/ inter-organizations. In-depth knowledge of key public health issues and knowledge of project management techniques (use of technology) with strong communication skills.
Knowledge of Gujarati language is a requirement.
Desirable: Experience of working with State and/or District Health system is a requirement. Please note that annual salary (CTC) will commensurate with the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
Maximum budget for the position is Rs. 60,000/- per month.
