Role:  Manager/Specialist-Public Health  

Band: B1/C1 (Please refer to the detailed Band structure enclosed for correct placement) 

Number of Position(s): 2 (two) 

Reporting: State Program and Technical Head

Location: Guwahati (Assam) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) 

Education: Master’s Degree in public health, social work or research, Bachelors in engineering/Management/ Medical science

Experience:  

Minimum 5 years of work experience
Passion for understanding innovations and utilizing it appropriately for better absorption in the health system
Prior experience in managing public health programs at state level through rigorous planning, review and monitoring
Prior experience in partner management
Prior experience in working with national and state governments
Excellent oral and written communication in English and the understanding of regional language is preferred
Language Proficiency: Hindi and English (Desirable: Assamese for Guwahati post)

The main Job responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
1.    Identifying relevant stakeholders within the state health system as well as external stakeholders who have been working in the health sector.
2.    Designing and undertaking a needs identification exercise for informing priorities of state’s health ecosystem by using tools like surveys, primary and secondary research.
3.    Conducting interviews with personnel and relevant stakeholders on the ground who will be a direct or indirect party to the SHIU implementation process.
4.    Creating plans for and oversee the implementation of the digital and non-digital platforms and tools necessary for the smooth functioning of the SHIU.
5.    Creating a list of data sharing protocols for potential partnerships between state health institutions and other parties considering the data security and privacy guidelines of the Government.
6.    Developing pathways and systematic plan execution to maximize the reach of identified innovation across states.
7.    Developing systematic SOPs, M&E and evaluation documentation for sustainability.
