Job Description:

Janssen India, Johnson & Johnson Private Limited is recruiting for an experienced, highly motivated individual to serve as a Field Program Manager as part of the Infectious Disease and Vaccines (IDV) franchise.

This is an individual contributor role based out of Patna and the incumbent will be responsible for driving market access and scientific engagement activities to ensure optimum adoption of newer drug containing regimens for Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB) patients. This role would require extensive liaising and coordination with relevant external stakeholders to build capacities to manage DR-TB as per the latest treatment guidelines; and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders to co-create and implement public health initiatives to improve access to appropriate diagnosis and treatment of DR-TB.

Key Responsibilities:

    Market Access & Scientific Engagement

  • Map and profile Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in infectious diseases/pulmonology/chest medicine space across public and private sectors based on academic/practice/research/NTEP leadership credentials, and gain insights from them to improve access to appropriate treatments for DR-TB patients
  • Map and engage public and private sector Healthcare Providers (HCPs) involved in clinical management of TB and MDR-TB to provide tailored scientific information
  • Develop sustainable, long term relationships with KOLs and HCPs through regular one-to-one interactions and engagement in appropriate scientific platforms
  • Regularly provide HCPs critical information about DR TB drug access mechanisms to ensure sustained patient access
  • Liaison with HCPs in DR-TB centers to drive appropriate use of Bedaquiline along with other drugs
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Public Health team to plan and implement scientific activities such as CME events, workshops and training sessions for HCPs

Public health initiatives

  • Engage with NTEP authorities (State TB Officer, City TB Officers and District TB Officers) to identify gaps across continuum of TB care
  • Collaborate with J&J Market shaping/Public Health team to plan initiatives to address gaps identified - in line with strategic objectives of J&J
  • Collaborate with NTEP authorities and NGOs to co-create, implement and monitor patient centric initiatives
  • Strengthen J&J’s footprint in public health space through consultative meetings and periodic engagements /partnerships with key stakeholders involved in TB/DR-TB care

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduation in any stream, preferably medicine or life-sciences with Postgraduate degree/diploma in general management, healthcare/hospital management or Public Health from a premier institute

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in public health or key accounts
  • Knowledge of National Health Programs and delivery of health services at state and district level

Desired/Preferred

  • Experience of working with the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP)
  • Experience in projects that involve liaising with Government institutions/healthcare providers/NGOs.
  • Experience of providing technical support to National Health Programs or Government Institutions/bodies
  • Experience of working with Government institutions/healthcare providers in UP

Other requirements:

  • Proficiency in English and Hindi is required
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40-50% to field locations

Internal key customers: Marketing and Public Health Teams, Supply chain, Franchise Leadership Team, Finance, Medical Affairs, Operations and Regulatory Affairs
