About the IIC:
The International Innovation Corps (IIC) is a Fellowship program that runs as a part of the University of Chicago Trust and the Harris School of Public Policy. The IIC, founded in 2013, recruits and places high performing young professionals with up to five years of experience and top-tier academic backgrounds, on teams that work on-site with governments and foundations to implement large-scale projects to address India’s most critical development challenges.
Position Summary:
The IIC is seeking to hire an Senior Health Lead to lead the Health vertical and coordinate its various health projects. The Health Lead’s (HL) primary responsibility will be overseeing IIC’s multiple health projects and growing the vertical. The HL will play a key role in maintaining stakeholder relations, identifying new partners and mentors, providing management and strategic support to their IIC teams as well as working with core IIC management team on driving the organization’s goal in India.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Project Support and Team Management for all the Health projects including Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) and National Health Authority (NHA)
§ IIC currently has multiple teams working in separate projects at the Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare (GoI) and the National Health Authority (NHA)
§ Health Lead (HL) needs to provide Technical oversight to the projects
§ Map the ecosystem of stakeholders, researchers, academics and companies who are developing
working in these projects and develop professional relationships with them
§ Create systems for partnerships between government and other stakeholders
§ Coordinate with other departments within the MoHFW and NHA for furthering goals of the project
§ Management oversight on day-to-day activities in each project to ensure timely deliverable of
high-quality output 
Maintaining Stakeholder Relations
§ The HL is expected to anchor the relationship with the govt stakeholder POCs for each project
§ Regularly participate in stakeholder update meetings with the project team
§ Ensure that the govt stakeholder’s vision and expectations for the project and deliverables from
the team are aligned
§ The HL is also expected to anchor the relationship with the funder stakeholder POCs
§ Regularly participate in funder update meetings with the team
§ Ensure that the funder stakeholder’s vision and expectations for the project are aligned to the
activities on ground
§ Maintain regular appropriate cadence of meetings between the funder stakeholder and the govt
stakeholder
§ Ensure that the Country Director (CD) is consistently and appropriately informed on Project
Associates and project activities
– Communicate regularly with the CD
– Share all necessary information with the CD
– Act as a bridge between the CD and the stakeholders
Project development and Fundraising
§ Work closely with the CD to identify and develop new projects and funding sources for IIC
§ Create and edit funding and project proposals, with input from the CD and other members of the
IIC leadership team
§ Proactively seek out and pursue fundraising and project development opportunities for the IIC, in
collaboration with the CD
§ Liaise directly with government, non-profit, and corporate leadership to drive collaboration and
project development opportunities for the IIC
Communications and Advocacy
§ Support IIC marketing and communications strategy and provide on-the-ground content for the
IIC to share with stakeholders
§ Assist the CD in delivering messaging to appropriate audiences regarding project outcomes and
the impacts of the IIC’s efforts, particularly in Health
§ Recommend strategies for strengthening the center’s identity and for building relationships with
key external stakeholders
§ Actively support IIC’s event programming in India, including but not limited to Roundtables,
Conferences, Seminars, Recruitment Informational Sessions, and Lectures
– Offer subject matter support in terms of event design
– Offer operational and event management support for effective event delivery 
§ Proactively seek avenues to increase the IIC’s visibility in India, particularly in relation to the IIC’s
work in Health
Professional Development and Year Round Training
§ Communicate and ensure professionalism standards to Project Associates including areas of:
– Meeting etiquette, setting and sending agendas, taking and distributing minutes
– Quality of client ready documents, attention to detail
– Teamwork challenges and ability to maintain work quality in high stress environments
§ Provide on-going training and mentorship to fellows address any gaps that may arise
§ Support the CD in the design and delivery of IIC Training and Mid-Year Training events

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who is motivated, passionate, entrepreneurial, selfsustaining, driven by a desire to make the world a better place, and excited to help build and shape the

tackled by the Indian government.
Other qualifications include:
• Minimum 8 years of total work experience in Public health or Management Consulting
• Master’s degree required, with a preference for academic training in Public Health
• Experience in program management or similar professional work
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to manage a variety of tasks
simultaneously
• Thrives in high energy situations with multiple stakeholders, and a dynamic environment
• Professional demeanor, including tact, discretion, and a sensitivity to working in a cross-cultural
context
