Society for Rural, Urban and Tribal Initiative (SRUTI) is looking for a person to assist with our financial and administrative requirements.

The candidate would be expected to work specially with the senior finance and admin team

Location: The work will be based in New Delhi, India. However, it will also involve some travel within India.

Salary: Commensurate with the qualification and experience of the candidate.

Roles & Responsibility

As an accountant you are responsible for following work-

•        To Maintain and update all books of accounts including details of ongoing projects.

•        To Maintain and update fixed assets register, stock register and other related work

•        To prepare salary sheet, BRS, utilization certificate and other HR related documents.

•        To maintain records of cash books, vouchers, bills and other accounts related records.

•        To coordinate with the program team for specific needs.

•        You are responsible for MIS, Banking and admin related work for ongoing projects

•        Maintain records in Tally and hard copy

·         Prepare and submit all project related financial reports as per need.

·         Create and maintain an accounting system that covers financial management, financial analysis and revises, internal control and finance reporting for administration and technical program purposes.

·         Track project expenditures and monitor the expenditure using all available analytical tools.

·         Manage financial transactions with vendors and partners.

Keep records of payments for accounting and tax evaluation purposes. Maintain appropriate communication and follow-up to facilitate efficient financial management.
Assist in all financial audits as per need.  
Assist in developing financial reports as per donors’ requirement and submission of timely reports
Maintaining appropriate files / records / documents towards meeting legal and statutory requirements.
Prepare various books of accounts, financial statements like receipts & Payments, variance reports, budgets, TDS, Bank reconciliation statement.
Create vouchers and payments in M.A.P for all internal and external stakeholders
Carry out any other duties as may be required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Graduate/Post graduate degree in commerce and relevant degree in Accounting and finance.
Minimum one -two years of accounting experience preferably with an international or local NGO.
Familiarity with various donor related compliance and reporting would be desirable.
Proficient in Tally, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential. Knowledge of other financial reporting software is a plus.
Knowledge of FCRA and 12A / 80G related compliances is preferable.
Strong written and oral communications skills in English and Hindi is essential;
Strong sense of attention to detail and understanding of confidentiality and ethics is essential;
Note:

The contract will initially be for 6 months, and will be extendable subject to the candidate’s performance.
Salary will commensurate with experience.
