Background: To provide support in grant writing and submissions by ensuring seamless functioning across various research teams, we seek to recruit a Research Associate. The Research Associate will collaborate closely with the core team at CCDC and provide assistance wherever required for timely submission of research proposals.
Job Description:
The Research Associate will contribute to grant writing and submissions in the following manner:
Serving as a focal point for identification of relevant grants and opportunities by various funding national and international agencies of repute, writing and submissions.
Identifying RFPs / calls for various grants applications and circulating with the organisation.
Prepare a checklist of the submission process and necessary grant specific documentation.
Assist the research teams in the preparation of the proposal pack, and submission.
Conduct literature review and gather relevant information to support grant applications.
Curate and maintain a comprehensive library or bibliography of relevant literature and resources in curating library/bibliography.
Collaborate closely with the core team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
Provide support to various research teams across different projects as needed.
Assist in the development of supplementary material relevant to the project such as budgets, and timelines.
Contributing to the editing and formatting of documents for submission.
Plan, organize and manage all grant writing related meetings as needed; this involves human resource and logistical issues.
Report on a day-to-day basis to the Assistant Director cum Research Scientist regarding project and seek timely advice wherever necessary.
Any other task as assigned by the Supervisor.
Competencies/ Skill sets required:
Education:
Master’s degree in public health / social sciences / Dentistry and equivalent.
Strong writing skills with experience in grant writing or proposal development preferred.
Three to four years of work experience in grant writing and submissions.
Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information desirable.
Previous experience in conducting literature and desk reviews.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Previous experience in academic or research environments is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualification
