Qualification: Essential: Post Graduate in Statistics / Demography / Population Studies / Econometrics or related fields (Ph.D is Desirable) Experience: At least 5 years of work experience after essential qualifications in designing, planning and managing data for large scale surveys or assessments

Essential Knowledge and skills:

• Proficiency of sampling methods and data mining and analytic methods such as regression, clustering, associations, narrative or content analysis etc.
• Well versed with use of statistical softwares like SPSS, STATA, EpiInfo, MS Excel etc.
• Well versed with qualitative and quantitative approaches in research, including data collections tools and managing the acquired data.
• Experience of working in National Health Programmes with Government or International Health Organizations, or Private sector in India
• Good Interpersonal and management skills with ability to work in a deadline – driven environment.
• Ability to work as a member of team
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi, both written and verbal. Knowledge of any other regional language is desirable.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure effective support in coordination, planning and implementation of Training Need Assessment of Vaccine & Cold Chain Handlers involved in the implementation of Universal Immunization Program
• Develop quantitative and qualitative data collection tools for the Training Needs Assessment project
• Manage and analyse the data collected during the assessment.
• Provide support in data analysis of the other research assessments / studies conducted by NCCVMRC, as and when needed.
• Provide support in drafting reports and publications on the research projects undertaken by the NCCVMRC.
• To undertake any other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the NIHFW / Supervisor.
• Performs a variety of complex tasks requiring discretion and expert judgment. Suggests improvements and seeks opportunities for innovation. Shares knowledge with less experienced peers.

Age limit: Not more than 40 yrs.

Duration: Appointment will be initially for a period of 45 days extendable further subject to requirement. There will be quarterly review of performance.

Place of Duty: NIHFW, New Delhi.

Date of Walk-in-Interview: 26th February, 2021 at 11.00 a.m.

Registration Time: 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

1. Application duly filled in all respect is to be submitted personally in the Lab.2, 1st Floor, Computer Centre, Academic Block, NIHFW on the date of Interview i.e. 26/2/2021 at 9.30 a.m.
2. Applications must be submitted in the attached format only.
3. Applications must be duly supported by self attested documents related to age, education qualifications and experience etc.
4. The candidates are required to submit their application with a subject “Application for the post of Statistician cum Data Analyst”.
5. Applications received not in the format attached and without supported documents will not be considered and shall be rejected summarily.
6. Consolidated remuneration will be paid / decided according to the GoI Rules / Norms.
7. The candidature of finally selected candidate’s will be provisional and subject to verification of original documents.
8. The NIHFW reserves the right to either fill up the post, or not, without assigning any reason.
9. The application and self-attested copies of certificates so submitted through e-mail and / or at the time of final verification will not be returned to candidates.
10. Candidates must ensure that he/she fulfills the requisite essential qualifications, experience and age etc. on the date of Interview.
11. Without original certificates, the candidates will not be considered for appointment. In all cases the decision of this Institute shall be treated as final.
