Position: Action Research Associate

Location: Rajpur Block (Barwani)
TRI, in collaboration with Stanford University, is seeking an Action Research Associate for immediate hire. The Associate will work closely with both the research team and the gender and governance team at TRI to support a project focused on expanding women’s representation in local Indian politics.
Job responsibilities while indicative and not exhaustive include:
- Qualitative research to support in the design of pilot interventions; observing and taking detailed notes about the implementation of several key components of the gender intervention including the expansion of elected women representatives’ networks, training delivery, Self-Help group meetings, and Mahila Sabhas
- Developing questionnaires and conducting formal qualitative interviews with intervention participants
- Operational support to assist TRI with launching and facilitating the pilot interventions
- Overseeing all field research activities; maintaining the integrity of the randomized controlled trial (RCT) experiment and managing quantitative data collection activities
You're a great fit if you have:
- 5 to 10 years of experience working in the development sector culminating at the management level
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods / M&E procedures
- Excellent writing, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience with work on gender-equity focused projects is desired
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Hindi and English
- Enthusiasm about embarking on a project with an open duration, initially set for one year
