Job Description:

The Farm-based Livelihood Expert will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs aimed at enhancing the agricultural practices and livelihoods of rural communities. This role requires a dynamic individual who can work closely with local farmers to identify challenges, devise solutions, and create opportunities for sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify the challenges faced by the farm sector within the project area and establish linkages with rural livelihoods.

- Innovate and implement area-specific solu&ons to enhance farm-based income genera&on.

- Engage with local communi&es to iden&fy and promote sustainable agricultural prac&ces and livelihood diversifica&on.

- Contribute to the strategic planning of farm-based livelihood initiatives, ensuring integration with broader project goals.

- Design and oversee asset-building plans to assist in establishing integrated and sustainable livelihoods.

- Regularly monitor and report on the physical and financial progress of farm-based livelihood interventions.

- Lead community mobilization efforts and support the community in implementing project activities effectively.

- Provide expert advice and training to beneficiaries and the project team.

- Document all processes, outcomes, and impacts of the project's farm-based initiatives.

- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the progress of livelihood interventions.

- Represent the organization at various local and regional events to strengthen the program's outreach.
