Position: State Project Manager (SPM)

Position Overview
The Sr. Manager/Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding the overall operations of the project at the national level and managing the state operations. This role demands a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of leading stakeholder engagements, content development, conducting events such as capacity building workshops, media engagements, and ensuring seamless coordination with state technical consultants. The incumbent will be responsible for cultivating strong client and partner relationships, monitoring project progress, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of reports, presentations, and other communication assets.
Key Responsibilities
Project management and Operations
• Provide day-to-day guidance and leadership on project operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Contributing to strategy development, in coordination with project lead, to effectively plan the implementation and completion of deliverables (and its expected outcomes)
• Managing state team resources, in coordination with project lead, to ensure timely completion of deliverables and use of resources
• Participating and sharing inputs during client and external stakeholder meetings/calls; lead and manage select external relationships
• Coordinate and oversee stakeholder engagements, events, and media engagements
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Develop and implement strategic plans for stakeholder engagement, fostering collaborative relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders from both government and nongovernment sectors.
• Lead state engagement efforts to conduct situational analysis, conducting training workshops, developing training modules
Content Development & Communications:
• Oversee the production and presentation of a wide range of content and related materials, such as technical documents (data compilation), training modules, presentations, policy briefs, factsheets, others
• Ensure the effective dissemination of project insights, findings, and recommendations through various communication channels
Qualifications
▪ Advanced degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
▪ Proven experience (at least 6-7 years) in project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning at the national level.
▪ Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
▪ Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and stakeholders concurrently.
▪ Demonstrated expertise in content development, training, and capacity building.
▪ Familiarity with the healthcare, nutrition, or development sector would be advantageous.
