Research Consultant: Monitoring, Evaluation & Assessments

IABT (​India and Bharat Together​) is a Delhi-based nonprofit organization working in the area of ruralyouth empowerment. Driven by a belief in evidence-based interventions, we are working towardsintegrating research into the design and implementation of our upcoming youth livelihoods programin Uttarakhand, including through the design of an innovative assessment to aid us in providing ruralyouth with the right intervention for them.

We are now looking for a research consultant to work with us remotely, starting January 2021.

You will be

• Working on the end-to-end development of a new activity-based assessment, including conductingextensive literature reviews, developing assessment frameworks and designing rubrics-
• Carrying out telephonic interviews with rural youth and other stakeholders in Uttarakhand-
• Co-creating frameworks and processes for MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) for anupcoming youth livelihoods program-
• Supporting the design of quantitative and qualitative data collection tools (surveys, questionnaires,observation rubrics etc.) and analysis to assess the impact of IABT’s programs
• Creating an inventory of local resilient livelihoods in Uttarakhand

You must be

• Research-oriented and inquisitive
• Driven by impact goals and the possibility of social change
• Experienced in conducting extensive literature reviews, preferably in the social sciences
• Well-versed in quantitative data analysis, including developing strategies for analyzing datasets

It would be great if you:-

Come with at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience-

Have prior knowledge and/or experience of designing assessment tools-

Have experience working with adolescents/youth populations and rural communities.

Experienceworking in the Himalayan region, especially the state of Uttarakhand, would be ideal.-

Are curious and a self-starter!

Additional information:We are looking for an initial engagement of at least 3 to 4 months, which can be extended based onneed and performance. In light of the ongoing Covid-19 circumstance, this will be a remote engagement.

This is a full-time role. However, we are open to discussing the possibility of apart-time engagement if required.
