Program Manager: Entrepreneurship and Livelihoods
IABT (India and Bharat Together) is a Delhi-based nonprofit organization working in the area of ruralyouth empowerment. Driven by a belief in evidence-based interventions, our programs are designedbased on research as well as a deep understanding of local contexts. In 2021, we are working onprograms that will enable Uttarakhand youth to increase their awareness of livelihood pathways andpursue livelihoods in self-employment through entrepreneurship.
To this end, we are now looking to onboard a full-time Program Manager, starting January 2021.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person, with at least 2-3 years of experience intraining and mentoring young adults in Hindi-speaking rural locations.
You will be:-
- Working on the program design, curriculum and resource development for our livelihoods andentrepreneurship programs for young people
- Managing and implementing the program across multiple locations in Uttarakhand
- Evaluating the training needs of our youth beneficiaries, designing context-appropriate content andfacilitating workshops for enrolled students to achieve the desired organizational goals
- Responsible for maintaining and updating all training and program-related documentation andteam-wide communication
You must:-
- Have experience in training with a focus on rural livelihoods and entrepreneurship development
- Be a confident facilitator and devoted educator who is up-to-date with the latest tools andresources for effective student learning and performance
- Have prior knowledge and/or experience of designing learning programs and curriculum
- Be excited by the possibilities of non-traditional teaching and learning formats and pedagogies
- Be driven by impact goals and the possibility of social change
It would be great if you:-
- Come with at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Have experience working with adolescents/youth populations and rural communities
- Experienceworking in the Himalayan region, especially the state of Uttarakhand, would be ideal.
- Understand youth mindsets and behaviour; an academic background in psychology would be great!
- Are curious and a self-starter.
