Sofia is looking for a candidate for its livelihoods programme in North-East Delhi. Sofia is looking for a suitable candidate for its livelihoods-based programme in North-East Delhi. The programme provides skill training courses i.e. Digital Marketing and Customer Relationships & Sales for youth. The Placement Officer would be responsible for the liasoning with various stakeholders including employers, government officials. S/he would be responsible for the placement of trainees, and provide managerial, technical and logistic support for job placement.

Professional competencies and personal attributes:

• A graduate degree in public relations/social work.
• Should have relevant and practical experience of working on skill development and livelihoods programme (minimum 2 years).
• Good writing skill in English is must.
• Good communication skill both in Hindi and English is required.
• Should have working knowledge of MS Office, Power Point and Excel.
• The candidate should be a good team worker and willing to work under pressure, and on deadlines.

Responsibilities:

- Take the lead in carrying out activities related to liasoning with MNCs, private and public institutions, banks, government departments among others.
- Coordinate, manage and liaise with trainees, faculty members and centre-in-charge.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of trainees on a regular basis.
- Organize exposure visits and interviews for the trainees.
- Help in writing monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and other publications related to project.
- Help in organizing public meetings and events.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in NGO sector.
