Position: Grant Manager for Health

Organization: Azim Premji Foundation

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

• Identification and selection of NGO Partners after thorough due diligence and multiple field visits
• Development of Grant Proposal from the NGO in consultation with the core health team to lucidly articulate programme goals, budget and all the necessary information mandated by our organizational process.
• Present the proposal to the grant approval committee, incorporating any inputs/feedback received in the process.
• Work with Philanthropy Operations to ensure grant disbursement post approval.
• Continuous partner engagement for learning and ensuring compliances.
• Regular engagement with various think tanks and civil society organizations in order to further Foundation’s understanding of health.

Travel: The role requires extensive travel regularly to remote areas in difficult terrains. Only those who are willing to travel 40-50% of the time to such areas should apply.

Necessary Skills: Partner Management, Collaboration, Communication, Due Diligence and Grant Management.

Desirable: Sustained grassroots experience in program implementation, demonstrated accountability for well defined goals in previous assignments, prior grant-making experience.

Education/Qualification: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
