Position: City Manager -Livelihoods
Organization: American India Foundation (AIF)
Location: Gujarat
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Survey of the street vendors in the assigned areas/markets
- Planning the weekly and monthly plan for mobilization
- Meeting of the street vendors and formation of market committee at fixed periodic intervals
- Identification and election of the leaders of market committee for smoothing of the work
- Awareness generation about the Street Vending Act 2014 and programs and schemes for vendors
- Awareness about the use of Digital platform and getting maximum numbers of Street vendors on Digital platform.
- Establishing good relationship with service providers like Google pay, Phone pay and Max pay
- Linkage of street vendors with credit and social security schemes
- Facilitate access to identity card and vending certificate
- Establish good relationship between vendor leaders and local Municipal Officials
Eligibility and Competencies
- Bachelor or Master Degree in communication/ business management/human resource/social work, or related field
- Five plus years’ previous experience as Project Coordinator or related position in skill development training projects
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
- Strong project management skills
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
- Ability to work under pressure and discipline
- Reporting Relationship: The position will report to Project Manager - Livelihoods
Other: Salary commensurate with experience.
