New technologies, approaches, and tools are emerging daily, unfortunately into a fragmented and immature digital health market landscape that currently limits their promise to transform country health systems and accelerate and amplify progress towards national and global health goals.

PATH is supporting multiple states to improve access to and quality of COVID-19 testing and streamlining testing strategies by bringing in new innovative tools and products, improving processes, and leveraging partnerships. PATH is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, and enthusiastic addition to work with the COVID-19 project team and the Strategy team at PATH.

The program associate will get an opportunity to operate in a zestful and evolving environment to contribute to a growing portfolio of impactful work in public health. She/he will be part of the core team that is designing and strategizing on rollout of COVID-19 testing strategies. Key responsibilities will be to provide support on activities including but not limited to knowledge management, assistance in project management, internal coordination, secondary technical research and presentations, program strategy documents for the project, and external reach out. This position will be based out of Delhi (but will be open to anyone who can work remotely). This project will run till August 2021, post which the continuity of this position depends upon the availability of other projects and employee interest. This position will be on third party payroll.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for program associate include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Undertake knowledge management by collecting and collating information available for the COVID-19 scenario & carry out analysis of data being reported in the public domain.
  • Undertake landscape assessments to seek, sense and analyze trends in the funding environment and develop strategy documents
  • Conduct secondary research and landscape analysis for material contributing to the development of concept notes and proposals
  • Carry out landscaping of COVID-19 control policy efforts in India and the States
  • Provide support to projects with key insights in the COVID-19 and infectious policy sphere
  • Support the team in coordinating the project management process internally within PATH & external stakeholders.
  • Support the team in preparing for meetings internally and externally, including conducting background research on meeting participants and organization focus areas.
  • Deliver any other need-based tasks as requested by the project manager

Required Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree at a reputed graduate school with relevant experience of 2-4 years of working in public health organizations or consulting companies. Experience in technical /policy /documentation work is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a complex environment
  • Comfort with collaborating across all levels of leadership internally
  • Critical analysis and strong report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity-building approach to supporting staff development
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent command over MS Office applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent in written and spoken English
