Position: Principal consultant –Monitoring and Evaluation

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

l  Develop monitoring and impact indicator, KPIs for the project success

l  Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output/committed deliverables

l  Suggest strategies to the Program team for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the program by identifying bottlenecks and mitigation in completing project activities

l  Coordination in evaluation designing, providing of technical inputs for conducting baseline, midline and end-line evaluations as well as for monitoring tools and strategies to ensure project implementation.

l  Facilitate impact assessment, third party study and research. Design and development of tools for assessment and evaluation

l  Conduct monitoring activities and check the quality of all data for completeness, consistency, correctness and authenticity of data and make amendments as required

l   Provide inputs and or prepare monthly, quarterly, annual project progress, narrative, evaluation and other analytical reports for different programme /projects

l   Basic Understanding of research methods & techniques (quantitative/qualitative) and protocols

l   Assist the project personnel with M&E tools and in supporting the program team

l   Translating data to informative insights and actionable recommendations effectively both internally and externally with clients

l   Conducting rigorous primary and secondary research, developing insights and recommendations for the assessments Ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables and maintaining timelines.

l   Assist the Program Manager in preparing relevant reports

l   Prepare and maintain data base of all program activities

l   Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

l   Consistently approach work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude

l   Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills

l   Remain calm, and in control even under pressure and demonstrate openness to change and ability to manage complexities

l   Respond positively to critical feedback and differing points of view

l   Data Story telling in the words that a funder and other stakeholder can appreciate

Key Skills Required:

l  Master Degree preferably in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or related field

l  At least 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E in development projects (Education/Skilling/Technology)

l  Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports. Statistical analysis knowledge and use of SPSS, R software

l  Proven programming skills, especially in the development of monthly and quarterly reports using database/excel sheet

l  Experience of working with state/ central government, school systems, etc. will be preferred

l  Expertise in analyzing data in excel sheet & Strong training & facilitation skills.

l  Fluency in written and spoken English. 10 days in a month based on project requirement
