Job Responsibilities-
• Establishment and promotion of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)
• Developing & establishing governing systems & procedures in FPO
• Setting up and monitoring Frontline Field Demonstrations (FLDs)
• Liaison with KVKs and like resources for training of farmers on GAPs
• Setting up infra for FPOs for carrying out business activities
• Raising equities at FPO level
• Assisting FPOs in securing govt grants and other schemes
• Assisting FPOs in meeting legal compliances
• Monitoring and managing team of Local Resource Persons (LRPs)
• Market linkages of FPOs
• Ensuring smooth project management including documentation of activities on the MIS
• Reporting to Project Support Unit (PSU) at HO
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
• Professional from Agri Business/Livelihood/ Marketing Team Leader.
• At least 2 years’ experience in agriculture extension and/or FPO promotion progam.
• Proven professional experience leading large programs and, bringing individual projects to scale
• Self-motivated, with a strong ability and drive to lead the project independently at the District level
• Ability to work effectively with Government departments and officials at all levels, with the energy, patience and proactive problem solving needed to overcoming obstacles and co-creating a customer (farmer) centric service
• Excellent managerial, liaison and negotiation skills
• Good written and verbal skills in English & Hindi
Educational Qualification:
• Graduate in Agriculture & related field, Post graduate in agriculture or allied sector /MBA agribusiness /rural management or any other equivalent field.
• Minimum eligibility includes 60% marks throughout career.
