Job Description:
The Senior Operations Manager is a new role that has been established as a result of the rapid growth of AVPN’s programme portfolio and the resulting need for a dedicated role to coordinate operational programme management including all aspects of grant management. The Senior Operations Manager will report into both the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Product Officer at AVPN ensuring that all programmes are managed to the highest industry sectors. The role holder will coordinate with programme and project managers to ensure that all projects are resourced and costed appropriately and lead on ongoing programme monitoring throughout the life or programme delivery. The role holder will also be responsible for coordinating with grant makers on financial reporting ensuring that payments are made on time according to grant agreements. The role holder will provide further support to the partnerships teams with developing programme budgets during the programme development phase and coordinate and update AVPN’s costing and pricing models. We are open for the role to be based in South or Southeast Asia, specifically, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, or the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate AVPN’s Programme resourcing system ensuring all programmes are properly resourced and costed
- Coordinate AVPN’s Programme monitoring system ensuring all programmes are monitored effectively and issues are escalated to the senior leadership team when appropriate
- Coordinate grant management including invoicing and financial reporting ensuring all projects are managed according to grant agreements and Programme managers are clear on contractual requirements
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly meetings with the Programme delivery teams
- Maintain regular communication with relevant teams to anticipate and mitigate issues that could interfere with project performance and adherence with donor requirements. Monitor and document this process.
- Support internal data collection, analysis, and reporting for projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in business administration, accounting, project management or relevant professional experience or qualifications
- At least 5-7 years project management including experience of managing large scale programmes funded by Foundations and/or international development organisations
- Strong financial management, data analysis skills and experience of working with large datasets.
- Interest in international development, social investment, social innovation and social entrepreneurship
- General curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset and proactive, independent practice
- Strong written and spoken English
- Proficient with MS Office
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to large and small groups
- Willingness to learn and adapt amid new and shifting priorities with a ‘can-do,’ solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
