What’s the role?
As Social Performance Manager, you are responsible in providing SP direction and leadership working across full portfolio of businesses for the country. You will also support business delivery such as new opportunities, existing assets, and divestments.
In this role, you will lead the Shell India SP team with 4 direct reports, and you are also expected to provide strategic SP advice to the Country Leadership team and Senior management.
Your further responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement robust social investment strategy & programs, covering national and local geography and meeting Govt CSR compliance.
- Oversee mandatory reporting requirements.
- Oversight of SP Governance plans and procedures.
- Drive SP awareness in the business; Provide SP competence development and coaching.
What we need from you?
When it comes to enhancing Shell capabilities to manage social performance, it’s your ability to link strategic objectives with pragmatic solutions that will make the difference. Furthermore, you will need the ability to coach your team and local staff to apply practical solutions and to drive competence.
Beyond that, we’d like to see the following on your CV:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience applying SP at a national strategic level and in operations, with demonstrable skills in the SP Core competencies, including community engagement, social sensing, social impact management, social investment.
- Extensive experience with SP in business operations and projects, including working with senior business leaders and integrating SP into business decisions.
- Knowledge of and experience with applying international standards such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) standards.
- Demonstrate an external focus. Ability to maintain active networks of relationships partnerships with local and national (e.g., government agencies, civil society organizations, non-profits, NGOs, multilateral institutions, as appropriate).
- Experience in coaching and mentoring staff, competence development, implementing corporate management systems and assurance.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work through and influence others to effect change.
