Position: Assistant Director 

Organization: Atmashakti Trust

Location: Noida

YOUR POSITION WITH ATMASHAKTI

Assistant Director will be reporting to the Executive Director while will interact with the Core Team members. The position will be based in Noida, India, with extensive travel in the project locations. During the engagement tenure, person may be required to relocate to any workplace decided by organization; therefore, the person must have willingness to be based/placed in intervention districts for an extended period of time or deployed for extended periods in humanitarian response programs in the field.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The specific functions include:

  • Programme Implementation including but not limited to Plan, Team Coordination, Reviews and Support.
  • Resource Mobilization including but not limited to Donor Management, Proposal Writing, Report Generation.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Advocacy & Networking including but not limited to building alliances, solidarity network.
  • Communications – Programme updates / newsletters / reports
  • Inter departmental coordination for integrated work approach
  • Framework and strategy formulation.
  • Impact assessment & process documentation
  •  Budget and resource allocation to ensure financial sustainability
  •  Liaising with different government departments.
  • Expand social media presence and reach.
  • Strategy for developing the positioning of organization and brand
  • Any other task assigned time to time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  •  MSW/Masters in Rural Management from premier institute with strong field experience
  •  Demonstrable experience and competency of working with government and multiple stakeholders in managing diverse objectives.
  • At least 10-12 years of managerial experience of working with big teams
  •  Result oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience working within NGO sector
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good liaison and networking experience.
  • Must have knowledge and experience of proposal writing and fund raising.
  • Good network of national and international alliances would be an added advantage.
  • Commitment to travel to intervention areas for up to 70% of time.
  • Ability to join early would be an added advantage.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Ph.D. or above in Rural management or relevant subject.
  • Having 12 to 15 years of working experience in related field.
  • Experience leading complex projects including budgets and coordinating the work of peers and partners, including contractors.
  • Multi-lingual and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
  • Self-starter with ability to generate work plans with limited support in line with the overall farming strategies.
  • A strong commitment to own professional development and a desire to grow and learn.
  • Communicating clearly via written, spoken, and graphical means in English and other relevant languages.
