Key responsibilities

Strategy and program design

● Read, absorb and synthesize landscape, data and evidence on various issue areas to inform and grow CSF’s strategy and build appropriate programs

 

Project Management

● Lead stakeholder and project management of all deliverables and priorities and address bottlenecks in a timely manner

● Act as the single point of contact for CSF in all critical alignment and planning meetings, sharing well-defined opinions, and technical insights from CSF’s FLN body of work to shape key outcomes and steer the project accordingly

 

Partner Advisory Support

● Identify and onboard strong technical partners to co-design and co-deliver programs and projects

● Support CSF’s partner organizations by providing strategic, programmatic and operational guidance through conducting diagnostics and sharing key recommendations, implementation support; contextualized tools and resources, and networks.

● Guide, motivate, support, influence, advocate for and learn from partners on an ongoing basis Government Engagement

● Craft compelling advocacy narratives for central and state governments to invest in quality early learning through innovative projects

● Support engagement efforts with state governments to co-create academic and governance innovations with partner organizations and embed key system reform innovations in the state

 

Qualifications

● Strong academic background from a reputed institute followed by a post-graduate qualification or fellowship in education. 

● At least 5-12 years of stakeholder management, program management and partnerships experience preferably in a social sector or consulting organization.

 

What would make you a good fit for the role

● Progressive prior experience, ideally across both private (Consulting/VC/startup) and development sector (project management, advocacy, fundraising)

● Basic understanding of India’s public school education system and high intrinsic motivation to contribute to solving India’s learning crisis

● Ability to synthesize complex ideas and communicate them in an impactful and nuanced way with short turnaround times. Examples of work products include advocacy decks, concept notes, project update presentations

● Excellent people management and project delivery skills, including the ability to lead a small team, create project plans and dashboards, drive execution, manage multiple projects at a time, influence internal and external stakeholders

● Ability to independently work with senior stakeholders from government and different organizations representing CSF’s point of view and jointly shape key deliverables

● Entrepreneurial, results-oriented leadership

 

Compensation: 

Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend upon the

candidate’s experience levels.
