Position: Program Manager – South Asia

Location: To be based in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh or India
Responsibilities:
- Assist MD in program development, strategising, implementation and advocacy efforts for the South Asia Programme.
- Support administrative and fundraising activities for the South Asia Programme. 3. Coordinate regularly with the Legal Officers in Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka to support in-country activities, organise relevant events and develop iProbono’s country network. 4. Supervise the activities of junior legal officers on the South Asia team.
- Assist data collection, project monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with the wider South Asia team to organise events and develop iProbono’s regional network.
- Coordinate with iProbono’s Advocacy and Communications team in Delhi, India. 8. Research and writing on iProbono’s thematic focus areas in different jurisdictions including LGBT+ rights, gender justice, migrant workers’ rights, and ESCR.
- Represent iProbono at relevant meetings, consultations, and events.
- Other program and administrative responsibilities assigned by MD.
Skills and Experience:
- Post Graduate degree in Law.
- 5-7 years of experience working in the development sector or with rights-based organisations. 3. Strong knowledge of domestic and international law relating to vulnerable groups particularly women, children and the LGBT+ community.
- Ability to build and maintain good partnerships with civil society, the legal community, and iProbono team members.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English and at least in another South Asian language.
- Highly organised, strategic thinker, and results-driven.
- Proficient in MS Office, database management systems.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
- Comfortable with travel if required (subject to COVID-19 restrictions).
