Roles & Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- To lead the process of designing and setting-up livelihood and enterprise work for papad rollers and papad trade in Bikaner.
- To lead and supervise designing, scaling, and replicating livelihood work related to papad for supporting and promoting collectives and micro-enterprises of women papad rollers.
- To lead, communicate and motivate a team of people to achieve a common goal and support members in achieving their full potential and grow as professionals.
- To identify, organize and set up business/work streams by orienting, training, coaching, and disciplining – associates, general managers, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising,and reviewing job contributions of all employees.
Business Growth & Partnerships
- To identify business opportunities through a periodical market scan, leads, and proposals for farmer collectives and micro-enterprises.
- Identification or selection of products through value chain assessment, forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures, supporting collective to develop business plans (B2B, B2B2C), achieving month-wise marketing targets, and month-wise, year-wise targets of the enterprise and its implementation
- To design and implement a quality control system, business monitoring system, success indicators, monitoring processes to track work progress effectively.
- To build partnerships with different brands and markets, and design and manage local better price realization.
- To build partnerships, a roster of mentors or experts, engagement in relevant district, state, national or international platforms to contribute in relevant policy discussions.
Institutional Development & Capacity Building
- To facilitate developing a strategic institutional and financial viability plan of papad collectives and micro-entrepreneurs, and ensure implementation of the same.
- To facilitate, coordinate, organize and deliver need-based capacity building programs for the board of directors, micro-entrepreneurs, grassroots, and professional staff.
- To design, deliver and develop need-based capacity-building programs for the board of directors and grassroots staff to build local managerial capacity for the long-term sustainability of the project.
Fundraising and fund management
- To support fundraising activity to raise more resources to support the program’s implementation and expansion.
- To support in managing communication, reporting, and other requirements of funders to build long-lasting partnerships.
- To identify and liaise with local trusts, foundations, government agencies, and other organizations that could potentially make grants to the organization.
Eligibility
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in unstructured environments.
- Ability to make sense of dynamic requirements and pivot quickly according to evolving situations.
- Good command over spoken and written Hindi and English.
- Prior experience of working with grassroots organizations.
- Self-starter with the ability to initiate and develop new workstreams.
• Willing to travel as per need and requirement.
Education & Other Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters in Business, Agribusiness, or rural development Women candidates are encouraged to apply Past experience in leading and managing a team. Oral and written fluency in both Hindi and English is mandatory.
