Position: Programme Manager-Education

About the Position
The position Programme Manager-Education is the key position to design new education programs, work with resources and the leadership team to scale up existing education programs and design, deploy and deliver program implementation, evaluation and reporting frameworks with the other program and communication team members. The incumbent will work with Project Associates, Government Agencies and Leadership team to efficiently work on the theory of change for education and allied programs. Our key target groups are class VI to Xth. Our initiatives revolve around Digital Learning Centres, STEM Education, Micro-libraries in schools, intensive life-skill programs for learners.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Programme Strategy
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the programme team and its partners at regional and national levels
- Lead the education program vertical with focus on life skills, languages and lab (3L) approach
- Guide and approve project, regional and partner level results (milestones, deliverables and impact).
- Design and develop SOPs for regional and local teams and network partners
- Working with education department or nodal education officers and state and district level to curate partnerships, collaborate for cluster based implementation etc.
- To work on program’s technical requirements, delivery models, team building and execution framework
2. Human and Financial Resources management
- Efficient management of human and financial resources; ensure effective coordination of programme activities with project teams, review and approval of project budgets and monitor expenditures;
3. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Ensure quality control and timelines of all deliverables and report to BharatCares, donor and clients on programme performance;
- Regularly monitor results and internal budgets as per donor requirements and through continuous risk management efforts.
4. Operational Support
- Provide operational guidance and support to programme activities;
- Coordinate and facilitate all programme interfaces, teamwork and relationships including Finance, HR, administration, donor reporting, contract compliance, budget revisions, stakeholder engagement and communication at all levels;
- Ensure full and complete programme documentation as per the processes and donor requirements (where applicable)
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in social work, education or related areas
- At least 3 years' (Preferably 4- 5 years) project management experience of multi-state projects with a focus on education programs with at least 2 of these areas: STEM education, Digital Learning, Library and Life skills related projects, Teacher Training, Secondary Education etc.
- Ability of advising and coaching of staff and partners in a cross-cultural environment
- Excellent social and networking skills, ability to engage with governments, civil society and the private sector
- Demonstrated experience in developing knowledge products, advocacy, presentations
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities and effective presentation, documenting and reporting skills
- Hands-on, result oriented, self-driven and able to manage own work
Remuneration
INR 6.60-9.00L Annual CTC, with immense opportunities to work with a young and energetic team.
