Position: Events and Outreach Coordinator
Organization: North American Association of Indian Students (NAAIS)
Skills & responsibilities:
● Strong oral and written communication skills, especially proficient in emails, following up on emails, and able to find information & contacts through the internet.
● Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail with an ability to set priorities and timelines to manage a variety of stakeholders and delegate responsibilities.
● Able to handle event management responsibilities remotely, including supervising volunteer teams
● Coordinate closely with Executive Director to manage scheduling and provide administrative support
● Interest in engaging and working with government officials at the national, state and/or district level. Capable of scheduling meetings for NAAIS with a variety of officials.
● Comfortable working in ambiguous environments; self-starter that can use good judgment and resourcefulness to take action in the absence of clear guidance.
● Serve as a primary contact for individuals and organizations that conduct engagement for NAAIS
Eligibility:
● A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a strong record of academic performance.
● Fluency in English is a must, additional languages are welcome.
● Strong computer proficiency with a familiarity of Google Suite and Microsoft Office, active on social media and familiar with other forms of digital engagement.
