JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client wishes to recruit an outstanding energy professional, to fill the vacancy for Program Manager- Electric Mobility (PMEM), to support the program in India.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the PMEM shall be a part of the senior management team and represent our client to industry associations, industries, central and state government agencies and other stakeholders, to ensure copper growth in the area of Electric Mobility
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Grow the market share of Electrical Vehicles (EVs) and Charging infrastructure and protect the copper industry interest, initially focusing on electric two and three wheelers (EV 2W & 3W) by acting as the market catalyst;
(2) Overall in-charge of the program, with responsibility for developing a comprehensive business plan in line with the organization’s objectives, including budgeting, identifying resource requirements and executing plans to achieve objectives;
(3) Work on market development, concept marketing and advocacy to Government Departments/ Ministry to influence policy decisions for expediting the adoption of EVs at the central, as well as state levels;
(4) Engage and partner with relevant stakeholders related to EV value chain for activities of mutual benefit with emphasis on the following:
(a) Central and state government agencies and utilities;
(b) Regulators and standards-making authorities;
(c) EV OEMs, charger manufacturers and component suppliers;
(d) Industry associations;
(e) Think-tanks and NGOs;
(f) Private sector stakeholders, demand aggregators, fleet operators, etc.
(5) Gather market intelligence and monitor market trends, by working closely with different partners;
(6) Develop communication campaigns (including digital marketing) as per program requirement, for market outreach and to improve the organization’s visibility;
(7) Carry out market assessments/ studies as per program requirements, with the support of third-party agencies and efficiently manage the contracted agencies;
(8) Develop technical knowledge, and represent the organization at relevant conferences, technical committee meetings, and events, to strengthen its networks and relationships;
(9) Design and deliver excellent presentation decks for the consumption of different stakeholders;
(10) Prepare monthly reports, and proposals, as required by the program.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification
Graduate in Engineering, or Science, from a reputed University/ Institute with a post graduate degree/ diploma in Energy Management/ Policy, etc.
Experience
(1) 15 years of experience in Energy Efficiency or Clean Energy Transition and Sustainability, of which five years must be at a senior level;
(2) Experience in Electric Mobility shall be preferred;
(3) Experience in concept marketing and policy advocacy;
(4) Prior experience of dealing with government institutions, is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
(1) Strong knowledge and understanding of value chain of clean energy transition in India;
(2) Excellent written, verbal communications, and presentation skills;
(3) Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem-solving approach;
(4) Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
(5) Should be a quick learner and a self-starter.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross compensation for the position is attractive and compares favorably with the remuneration paid by progressive non-profits in the sector. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
