Position: Health Communications Coordinator

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated communications professional interested in working on increasing the reach and acceptability of mental health services as provided by the COVID-19 Wellbeing Center. We aim to increase awareness about our services to the community at large with a special focus on frontline workers. We are searching for someone who is interested in a team leadership role, who is proficient in coordinating communications for collaborations with stakeholders to make a contribution to an emerging high priority field of mental health.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Responsible for the creation, implementation and monitoring of a communications strategy for the COVID-19 Wellbeing Center
a. Developing content for communications
i. Mental health related content for print, radio, TV etc.
ii. Content for social media platforms
b. Designing and implementing social media campaigns
c. Create a calendar with curated content and graphics for social media
2. Undertake a regular scoping research of prominent mental health campaigns and promotion projects
3. Liaise with internal and external partners to align communications strategies.
4. Supporting the organisation of mental health awareness events (online and offline), coordinating with vendors, admin staff, volunteers and
stakeholders during the event planning process
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Qualification and experience
Education
1. Bachelors or Master’s Degree in journalism, marketing, social science, communication or a related field.
Work Experience
1. Demonstrated interest in mental health
2. 3 years’ + work experience in communications, print, broadcast, and/or new media.
3. Social media content design and management for a non-profit or social campaign on platforms including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
4. Knowledge and understanding of local and global social media landscape and trends
5. Proficiency with basic graphic design video editing to create social media posts/content
6. Experience in managing social media insights and analytics
7. Proficient in managing event budgets, and working across project
Language Proficiency Fluency in both written and spoken Hindi and English is essential. Ability to read and write at least one more Indian language is desirable.
