Broad Areas of Responsibility:
1) Fundraising strategy:
- Putting together a well researched fundraising strategy as per the needs of the
organization
- Document learnings through successes and failures to build institutional
knowledge and continuously improve our fundraising efforts
2) Research and Lead generation:
- Identify and cultivate new ideal prospects through research strategies and
connections
- Meaningfully engage with program teams and also build a deep understanding of
finance, budgets and cash flows
- Ability to engage with donors to listen & understand their needs and tweak our
communication to highlight our mutual fit
3) Grant applications and Proposals:
- Prepare grant proposals and applications that contextualize our work to specific
audiences
- Creating collaterals, reporting formats and structures to effectively communicate
our work.
4) Funder partnership management
- Meet and present the impact of our programs to prospective funders to convince
and build relationships and funding pipelines

- Keep our funders updated through quarterly reports and update meetings and
support renewal efforts
- Plan and meaningfully engage partners with our work and get them to experience
the impact we are creating

Education/Skills/Mindsets:
1. Graduate (in any stream) with at least 2 years of full time experience OR post
graduation in relevant fields with a track record of excellence in academics and
co-curricular activities.
2. Demonstrated excellence in a role that requires fundraising, report/proposal
writing, partnership building and/or relationship management.
3. Excited to work in the social sector and create lasting impact
4. Willing to commit at-least 2 years to build the fundraising engine at Alohomora
5. Willingness to engage in a wide range of activities including but not limited to
research, short pitches, presentations, documentation, update calls etc
6. Ability to maintain positive energy in face of delay, rejections and rigorous follow
ups
7. Ability to communicate effectively within larger Alohomora team to involve
everyone in our fundraising efforts

Compensation Range: Rs 5-7 L/ pa. based on prior relevant experience. Candidates with
higher experience/compensation expectations are encouraged to apply as well.
